about
This is about being socially unaware at times and having to really focus to connect with the outside world. In the song the distraction seems more like a love interest but personally, it's more about being a slave to music, constantly trying to act normal when my mind has other plans. That's right, I'm very afflicted. To make the demo, I used a quick sample of a drum track Dave did for our upcoming "Song For Suicide" to give it a more real feel. Don't mind the glitches in between each sample please. Obviously the guitar solo is just hilarious.
lyrics
I know people care
All about the things
That aren't so fair
In this world we know
Gotta make a difference
But you see I believe
All about these bad things
That shouldn't be
But you come so close
Suddenly these bad things
Have nothing to do with me
You don't feel me like I do
All this guilt it runs me through
Do not mean to be rude
But I don't know if you knew
All this guilt it runs me through
Should be thinking of this
But all that I can think of is you
I know, NYC
All about this city
It's the place to be
But I see your face
And all these skyscrapers just fade away
I can't hold it
I can't hold it for long
All these bad things
That I don't know are wrong
