about
I did this years ago, but I feel it's more relevant now that time has passed and it still holds true for me. I realized over the holiday that everyone's changed but I stayed the same, still trying to hold on to what I thought was supposed to be forever. That everything is possible and we could recklessly explore music and drugs and places and people. I saw my cousin Rachel with her husband and baby and it was so weird that I listen to the album we made together at age 15 and it's still all I want to do. I plan out the sophomore effort all the time although she's very busy and very happy being grown up. I'll post the record for free I guess.
lyrics
We met at school
We're the chosen ones
Since the day we ruled
Don't know what we've done
For a moment when your man is gone
And you're tired of getting dishes done
When you're laying down your baby son
Please think of us
And try to remember
When all of your days were fun
We met at school
We slept in the hall
Now I think it through
I never changed at all
We wanted to keep you
But now it's over
We wanted to keep you away
But now it's all over
Why didn't you want us
Why didn't you want us
When we met at school
We stayed up for days
We were all such fools
Guess I stayed that way
